It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and boasts an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It has an easy mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud, which can be problematic if you run it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive however, not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable however, it's more expensive and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra
