Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often enhances its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.

Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. The screen will show a summary of the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Furthermore players can transfer experience and advancement of an upgraded item onto a new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for new players. However, there are numerous methods to obtain these stones, such as completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will receive an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is reached.

Items with upgraded base stats display the blue icon in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components don't stack against each other, and can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left is where players can put in equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. When the player has enough items and has pressed the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item upgrader kit is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Once an item reaches its maximum level, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. In the same way, once a piece of gear reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to the track will be offered at discounts.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through quests, or traded between players. Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get the perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

When you select an upgrade component to be inserted into an item, the game will display an open window that displays the required requirements. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) the tier of that item as well as the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade item.
