It also comes with a self-emptying bin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, though it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time to offer more efficient cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and customize zones with the well-designed app. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba unit than the boxy models of the competition. It is one of our most attractive robot vacuums. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also the most intelligent. It has advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic hoovers mop or vacuum to score 100% in our testing, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors that include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully self-refill and empty its base station and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite loud that could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing with a bit more noise and some extra cost it's a efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot automatic vacuum and mop robot and mop. It has a number of advanced features that help you forget your chores. The app comes with a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
