In our tests the i7+ performed more agile and faster than our top 10 robot vacuum cleaner choice which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin, which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. One of the most well-known robot vacuums, the 694 is a basic model that's a good choice for people who don't wish to spend too much money on a robot. It's capable of sucking up all kinds of debris in our tests, and it often goes over the same areas several times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models such as our top selections and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. This means that it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it frequently runs out of battery power before making it back to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects, as it has fewer components that require regular maintenance and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.
