The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on bare floors and are especially adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our first choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to become stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a good deal particularly if your home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and operates while you're at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. 3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units, this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive designs in our reviews. iRobot's latest flagship model also happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an easy mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite loud, which can be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, although it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it's more expensive and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features that let you forget about your chores.
