This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock close to an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move around, however.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material like cereal.
