iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including putting away any toys or clutter it may come across. It's also a good idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning from where it left off. The battery's lifespan is around an hour-and-a-half of continuous use. It takes three hours to charge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It is self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most important feature is its auto-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance.

In our tests the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the best robot vacuum deals to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room and vacuum a particular area. It could pick up all kinds of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area many times for an extensive clean. However, it lacks the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, such as our top picks, the i3+EVO and j7+ Series. In our testing of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. It was not as successful in avoiding taller items such as socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than some of the other models we've tested and could be a deal-breaker for certain shoppers.
