It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a good deal, especially if your home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and operates while you're at work or in school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be changed for one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes This mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive designs in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot uses an array of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and spot obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its top rivals. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and was often confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task.
