The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on the flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.

The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary based on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working efficiently. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that extend along baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It is able to move from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction.
