It also meets French safety standards and you can rest sure that your child will be in good hands. We like the off-white finish but it's also available in a stunning grey-green shade.

Our test participants found it easy to put together and believed it was the most elegant look cot we've seen in our round-up. However, it's expensive particularly since you have to buy an additional mattress - and If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, there are more affordable alternatives there.

The Great Little Trading Company Little Wren Cotbed

This crib bed is a fantastic option if you're seeking additional features. It comes with an under-bed storage drawer and teething rails. Additionally, you can alter the height of the base by three different settings so that your child doesn't have to climb out of the bed when they're older.

The only drawback of this cot is that it requires a separate mattress which could cause the price to go even higher than other models we reviewed. The premium aesthetics as well as the ease of assembly and ability to grow along with your child are all attractive, making this cot worth the cost. Our test participants thought this cot would be the perfect addition to any nursery.

The John Lewis Elementary
