You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop using your voice.

Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot vacuum cleaner top 10 rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the robotic floor vacuums. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.

The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic vacuum cleaner sale cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best combo vacuum option. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home at the same time. These bots also have many additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums can really fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place it can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone, but it's one that will assist you in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum cleaners mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however, it's costly.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do everything.

However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine There are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper and has more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.

Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet flooring, and mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near an outlet for power and ample space to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials such as cereal.
