The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept in removing dog hair. However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a great deal, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and can be used while you are at work or in school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and efficient in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also has an impressive suction system and self-emptying bin. It's the best robotic hoover for carpets but it's not as good as other hoovers in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time to ensure better cleaning. 3. iRobot Roomba X40

This mop and vacuum combination is sleek and has a circular look that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy units of the rivals. It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the vacuum's bin, refills the water tank, as well as washes and dries the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its premium competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection but this was not reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The RX3 is more sophisticated than its price suggests. It is a good vacuum cleaner and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that is washable.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you set on the map. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that can't be used as an emptying bin.
