It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has 100% in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's an eerily noisy device which could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or at night as you attempt to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's very capable however, it's more expensive and create more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a variety of sophisticated features that will let you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take care of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its premium competitors.
