One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to get caught up in shoes and socks and can't navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.

It's still a good deal particularly if your home or office has a lot of bare floors and you want to save money. It's also very quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or school. The only thing it's missing that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective in mopping. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's the only robotic hoovers mop or vacuum that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.

It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its premium competitors. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with an option called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas in the home based on how dirty these areas are.

If you have a larger home, you should consider choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes.
