The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we tested. It may be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces like hardwood and rug.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it left off. Battery life is about an hour and a half of constant use. It takes 3 hours to charge.

2. Roomba from iRobot

The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and comes with the latest technology. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and the most important feature of all -- it comes with self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum cleaner black friday vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or via the app.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying that removes a major source of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room and vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system traps allergens, then releases cleaner air into your home. Its cleaning head is specially designed and drives bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to suck up large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction settings to meet the task being performed. It is able to quickly switch from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.

The model also comes with an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and offers easy access to two attachments and a wand clip. This is a significant improvement over earlier Dysons, which take a long time to charge and are difficult to store.

The main issue with the V10 is its short running time. The claims of its marketing that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are a bit misleading, as CR's testing shows. This is a typical and not a remarkable time to run the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's enough time to vacuum a typical-sized home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second run usually works). However, this model doesn't have its benefits: It's lighter and agile than older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming efficiency is better on carpets with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums the 694 is an affordable model that's an excellent option for those who don't want to invest too much on a automatic hoover robot. It was able to pick up all kinds of debris in our testing and often went over the same area many times to give an extensive clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, like our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. Because of this, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't in good condition, and frequently runs out of battery power before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694, as it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs, is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and is better able to maneuver its own.
