The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot vacuum cleaner top 10 that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it with your voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the clean smart robot Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand which other robots can't. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to know whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best automatic floor cleaner option. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with various additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like tables and walls which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people but it can aid in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the top in the market however it's quite expensive.

It's a small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've tried that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space to allow it to move, however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The primary aspect that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, however is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
