For one, the Q5's navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks and can't navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a good deal for those whose home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and can be used when you're at work or in school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to organize an automatic spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas to improve performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and underneath furniture better. It has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also set up a spot cleaning that thoroughly cleans a particular area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana.
