It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of an area.

Still, it's very good robot vacuum to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on an Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also the sole robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to a combination high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an easy mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work, or at night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient however it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.
