1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best inexpensive robot vacuum robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.

Its design is superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base automatic floor vacuum Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be hybrid. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums aren't able to meet. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin is done easily. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone, but it's one that can help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning robots for home area for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.

If you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions at an affordable price. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
