One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to get caught up in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a good deal particularly if your office or home has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also quiet and operates while you are at work or in school. This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular design that appears more like the regular Roomba model than the bulky units of the competition. It is one of our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads on its own).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to the combination of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station, and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be a problem if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you attempt to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive, though it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable however, it's more expensive and make more noise.

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features that let you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine like Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and cleans and drys the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with power cords or obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the degree of dirt they tend to be.

It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping which collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or create an automatic vacuum and mop robot spot-clean. It can also be used to it to rank your most filthy areas for greater efficiency. The app also grants access to many options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and underneath furniture more easily. It has an impressive 8000 Pascal suction as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. And you can set up a spot cleaning that scours a specific area.
