It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score 100% in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work, or in the evening when you are trying to fall asleep.

For larger houses it's recommended to choose models with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a particular area of your home by using the app or via voice commands.
