Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to increase the stats on your weapon and armor. This can be achieved by a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level. Many items can also be reforged in order to increase their value.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. The most common method of upgrading gear is through the use of upgrade components which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots that can be upgraded, and many require a specific level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses while others provide general bonuses.

There are several types of upgrade elements in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be placed in any type of equipment and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment type specific to the type of equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer numerous benefits, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to supplying additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, select it from your inventory and open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats are after the upgrade, as well as any required components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as Blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The amount of upgrade components required for a specific Best item upgrader is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, but can be reduced using many different ways, such as purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to communicate visual information. They are animated to grab the viewer's eye and stimulate curiosity. The animation of glyphs resembles the body language and makes them more effective in conveying the message of a language barrier. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a range of values that it can improve a stat by, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This range is the maximum value that a glyph could improve a stat by but not the amount it actually increases the stat by. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier and quality of the item that you are in awe of.

The majority of upgrade components inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your gear, you can move it to a different piece equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will destroy the item upgrading that it was installed in but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item with the glyph and its shards, so this should not be considered as a loss.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph the shards of the glyph will disappear. You can also add a glyph on your equipment to increase its value. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is helpful for players who suffer lots of damage from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to alter the affixes on weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from many sources, including mysterious boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Each reroll token grants the player a new random affix, which is usually better than the original one. Reroll tokens can also be a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon that can be upgraded for better damage or additional perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the upgrade menu, but they are still eligible to receive upgrades. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined based on the item's rarity and also its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable to recycle than those with lower levels.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls roll the % chance of a particular weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon will be upgraded. If it is lower, the weapon remains the same. Weapons can be rerolled up to three times.

Rerolls are a great option for upgrading an item, but users must be aware that it could lower the overall ilvl of the weapon based on the number of rerolls needed in order to increase it to the final level. This effect is most evident on Rings and Diadems since they have no other options to increase the ilvl.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's more fair to let people pay for it using money or food items which allows players to make adjustments to their builds without spending too much time. However the paid rerolls aren't something that the developers would like to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they plan to add an option to change the race in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to upgrade an item. The first way to level up an upgrade for an item is to increase the upgrade amount. This increases the value of upgrading any stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which increases the healing or damage for the stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will keep its iLevel but have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.

When upgrading items it is essential to keep in mind that upgrades are not guaranteed. In most cases, a better roll will be derived from glyphs, however there are also possibilities for more or unique rolls. In addition the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the item type which means that should you upgrade a rare or unusual item to an extraordinary type you will have a chance to get an increased iLevel.

The cost of upgrading items can be expensive especially if you're upgrading a piece of equipment from a standard to the legendary track. The price will depend on the item's base iLevel and the number of upgrade levels it offers. In addition, some upgrade tracks require crests in order to achieve the next upgrade level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item will reach the highest level of its upgrade track, and will unlock a bonus effect. This will provide a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect changes with each upgrade level. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased by +3.

Based on the item's level of base and upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded Item upgrader kit will also change. For example an item upgraded from a rare or exclusive item to an extraordinary one can be expected to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item.
