It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an easy mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device that could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's more expensive and create more noise.

The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you'd expect from its price tag. It vacuums well, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad, which uses a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self emptying base that is washable.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map.
