Upgrading gear increases its stats base and often increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are applied.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, like an armor, weapon or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't keep the same level as the original item, and any wasted resources won't be compensated for.

Survivors can obtain reroll tokens in several ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item such as increasing its damage.

Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost damage from weapons and melee attack and spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give players additional health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a better quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next successful result is repeated. This allows you to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints are envelopes that appear at the start of every preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grasping them. Once they are open, they display a full description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of money.

In the course of a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to the choice of Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls and also those that are in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by improving its stats or attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. They can also be purchased by players who sign daily contracts.

To upgrade their gear, players must first locate the appropriate item and then click on the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be when being upgraded, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.

After deciding on the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, they can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the durability of the item. The system is a great way for players who want to get an edge in battle, but don't want to burden their wallets. Additionally players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item onto a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are many methods to get these stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that lets players increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. It is achieved by combining an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be used up and the item upgrading will receive an upgrade to a higher level. The process will continue until the item reaches its maximum level.

Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as an icon of blue next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be added to more than one item at once. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a particular quantity of items to be added in addition to a minimum level for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can place equipment that needs to be upgraded, while the right side shows a glimpse of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the stats of the base item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

When an item is at its maximum level, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. When an item reaches a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an additional bonus or effect when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.

Requirements

The upgrades to items allow players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the item type, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

Upgrades to items can be used to make set pieces or weapons to provide additional effects or to increase the level of the item. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade element is inserted into an item, it isn't able to be removed or substituted without restriction, however the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.

Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item upgrader or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers which can further increase the stats of an item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance of blocking. The dps "Wildfire", however increases damage from weapons.

Certain items benefit from upgrading not so much for their improved stats, but because it lets players get the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.

The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item level upgrade. These include the type of item upgrading (either Weapon or Armor) and the level of the item as well as the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
