Upgrades can sometimes increase the performance of a piece of gear and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations that are applied.

The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll a purchased item like armor, weapon or ring. This swaps the current item for a different one similar item with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item and any money wasted won't get compensated.

The survivors can acquire reroll tokens through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates, or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of a piece equipment, for example increasing its damage.

Players can roll their equipment into three categories that include physical power, magical power, and health. Physical power increases the damage that weapons and melee attacks, while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade takes an item upgrader kit to a better quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next success result is repeated. This lets you save upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they are open, they display a full description and the icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop can exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

In the course of an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of selected Franchise Cards. This changes which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and other accessories. To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a menu showing the item upgrader's current level and what it will be when being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.

Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the durability of the item. This is a great way for players who wish to gain an advantage in combat but don't want burden their wallets. Additionally, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item to new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for novice players. There are several methods to get these stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that lets you increase the power of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It's done by adding upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade materials and give the item a higher level, granting the item upgrader an additional boost in the area. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item is reached.

Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked with each other, but can only be added to one item at one time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a certain quantity of items to be applied and an initial amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can add a piece of equipment that they wish to upgrade, and the right side shows a glimpse of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. When a player has enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded, the base stats of the item will be increased by only a tiny amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

When an item is at its maximum level, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. When an item upgrader kit attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped by acquiring new ones. However, this can cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.

Requirements

Items upgrades enable players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on its type, but you'll typically need Dilithium and the number of Upgrade tokens.

The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can improve the item's stats.

The helm upgrade item "Foundation of the Sun", for instance, increases defense base and provides an additional 20% chance to block. The DPS "Wildfire", however increases damage from weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve a perfect roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.

When you select an upgrade Item component to slot into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements. The game will show the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

Once you've met the required requirements for an upgrade, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
