Researchers from Aalto University studied the eye movements of children playing a virtual reality game. This was done to determine if a ML algorithm could distinguish between ADHD and normal children. The results demonstrated that machine learning algorithms could be used to detect ADHD children.

Another study evaluated the effectiveness of various machine learning algorithms. The results revealed that random forest algorithms have a higher percentage of robustness and lower error in predicting risk. Similar to that, a permutation test showed higher accuracy than randomly assigned labels.
