However, unlike the i7+ and other top robot vacuum cleaner rated robots we test, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles which means it can be stuck on things like socks or power cords and it can have difficulty navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. It's also recommended to keep the bin and filter clean so that they don't become clogged with dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or its battery is low, it returns to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin, and then continues house cleaning robot where it began. Battery life is about an hour-and-a-half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to charge.

The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line and is packed with the latest technology. The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its best self cleaning robot vacuum-emptying garbage bin that removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and sweep a specific space. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car that is amidst a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households however, it can also fit perfectly next to the coffee table or the bookshelf, where you can move it around like a magic device.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide fade-free power for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to collect large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction settings to match the task being performed. It quickly switches from handheld to floor vacuum and back.

The model also comes with an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in about 3.5 hours and provides an easy access to two attachments and a wand clip. This is a significant improvement over older Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is a typical, not an exceptional, time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's enough time to sweep the typical home but not enough to reach every area. (A second time is usually sufficient). That's not to say this model doesn't have its advantages It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming efficiency is better on low-pile carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on the latest model of robot cleaner amazon. It's capable of sucking up most debris types and sizes during our testing, and it frequently goes over the same areas many times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models like our top picks, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and is often unable to supply power before returning to its original location.
