When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and modify your home map or change the room cleaning robot's label.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot sweeper easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for most people but it can help effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are among the most advanced available however it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price cost.

But if you want to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine There are many other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.
