iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes clearing out any clutter or toys it may encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the bin and filter clean so that they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning where it left off. The battery's life span is approximately an hour-and-a-half of continuous usage. It takes about three hours to charge.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. After connecting we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, like our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. Because of this, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and frequently is power-depleted before returning to its original location.
