1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms and a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and was able to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming blocked. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
