1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have examined. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the most powerful model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture leg. They also feature a feature called carpet boost which boosts the robot's power when it sees an abundance of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.
Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our bare floor tests They're also particularly adept in cleaning pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first option. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology and is therefore prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.
It's still a great option, especially if you want to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or going to school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.

It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could sweep the entire house and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a decent cleaning job on a variety of flooring and rooms with different flooring types, including some area rug. Its obstacle detection was great and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
Like other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, with an intuitive mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work, or in the evening when you're trying to sleep.

This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control. If you have lots of furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. For families with busy schedules, a recharge feature and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be very useful.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might imagine from its price. It has a great vacuuming performance and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tested. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self emptying base that is washable.
The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping which collects information about your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to improve performance. The app also grants access to a variety of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. It also has the ability to create a spot-clean that intensely cleans a localized area.

The twin cameras are designed like cute little eyes. It is capable of vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to getting caught on low thresholds and is a bit louder than the other top robotic vacuums we've tried. It also comes with an app that's not as intuitive and has a tiny base station that can't double as a bin to empty.
