Item upgrading allows players to enhance their weapons and equipment with new affixes, boosting the base stats of the item or giving additional benefits. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory, and also access the kiln.

Upgrade components

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from previous versions in several important ways.
