The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones or modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It also features an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone however it will help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are among the most advanced available however it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated cleaning vacuum that can do everything.
