1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have test. They have top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top choice), they use smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans that avoid common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also have Carpet Boost, a feature which boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our bare floor tests They're also particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of the room.
It's still a great deal particularly if your home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and operates while you're at work or in school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, using disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in just a few minutes.

The flex arm is ideal to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During testing during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire house, finishing with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of rooms and floors with different flooring types, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combination.

And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.

It can be used to create cleaning schedules or to set up a spot-clean. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas to improve performance.
