Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower develops and distributes a range of low-floor Green power Scooter Reviews and high-floor electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses and school buses, as cargo buses and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle with a high degree of customization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery configurations.

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of heavy and medium-duty all-electric scooter green vehicles, including lower-floor and high-floor models. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate many different upfits and bodies for multiple applications. The platform's clean sheet design approach allows the best battery pack placement and lower center of gravity, which results in higher payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery and catering. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure inside and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, better temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo and a payload that is industry-leading to allow for zero emission goods or passenger transportation.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to quickly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging at 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours. We found it to be simple to drive, and comfortable to drive long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, and the EV9 is a master of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully recharged in just three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes the green power mobility, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for those who've never driven an electrical vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, including a multi-purpose all-electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, transit or microtransit vanpools, buses, or paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. They will be eligible for federal transit grants. We will be following the AV Star as it goes on its public demonstration tour the coming months. We will be sure to share more details on this amazing electric vehicle!
