The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we tested. It may get stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes clearing out any toys or clutter it might encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or its battery is depleted, it returns to its docking station, automatically emptying its debris into the station's external dustbin and continues cleaning where it started. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes 3 hours to fully charge.

The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin, which eliminates major sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car that is amidst a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in most households however, it can also fit in well next to a coffee table or on the bookshelf, where you can move it around like a magic wand.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases cleaner air into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets and collect large dust or crumbs. It comes with three suction settings to match the task that is being completed. It quickly converts from floor vac to handheld vacuum, and then back to floor.

This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models that we tested, and this could be a problem for some shoppers.

The app makes it possible to manually steer the robot in the event of need. For example, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that has a tendency to trip up some of the other robots I've tested.
