Once the battery has been removed, insert the new battery into its socket. Make sure that the positive side of the battery is facing upwards, and that all clips are in place. Then slide the cover back towards the key-ring loop until it becomes loose and slides off. Then, lift the cover and reveal the mechanical key blade hidden inside. This will be used to unlock your car through the driver's door in the event that the key fob battery is dead or missing.
