The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a problem in the mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to fall asleep.

Its vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and also alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on the amount of dirt they are.
For bigger homes it's recommended to choose a model with zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one specific area of your home via the app or via voice commands.
