The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.
However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also very quiet and you can use it while you're at work or going to school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be swapped for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also comes with self-emptying dustbins, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, however it's not as good as other hoovers in terms of deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors that help it stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time and provide more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

3. iRobot Roomba X40
This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models from the competitors. It's one of our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).
It's also the only robot vacuum/mop to score an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has an easy mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This could be a concern in the mornings prior to work or at night when you're trying to sleep.

The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and dry mop pads.
The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. iRobot RX3
The RX3 is more advanced than its price would suggest. It is a good vacuum cleaner and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad, which uses a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying washable base.
The well-designed iRobot application guides you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you set on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance. The app also gives access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuum with mop vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. The twin cameras are designed to resemble adorable eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, however it is more likely to get caught on low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuums that we've examined. It also has an app that's less intuitive, and a smaller base station that doesn't double as a bin to empty.
