The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through an efficient.

It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots that vacuum and mop. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum mop cleaner robot. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However should you purchase this Robot vacuums that mop vacuum to mop, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home, detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly fast.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen odors.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

It's expensive, however it has many useful features. However, it's important to remember that it carries recurring costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.

The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. It has an energy button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with a microfiber pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was beginning and finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app cannot keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuum that vacuums and mops thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
