The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have a lot of money to invest in a robot. It was able to remove all kinds of debris in our tests and would often go over the same area multiple times for an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps to get into corners and along the edges of walls which is a nice feature.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models like our top selections such as the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. Because of this, it may get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and frequently is power-depleted before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects in that it has fewer components that need regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it wasn't particularly well in avoiding taller objects like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested and this could be a problem for certain shoppers.
