The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention. It will leave your floors spotless. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

Be sure to regularly examine the brushes of your robot for hair tangled and large debris, and wash them when required. Some models can also automatically empty their onboard dustbin into a larger bin at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They have motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they utilize smart mapping technology to create detailed floor plans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also feature carpet boost, a feature that increases the robot's power when it detects an abundance of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to get caught up in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of a room.

It's still a good deal, especially if your home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work, or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming that is offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad for dry ones in just a few just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum that mops robot vacuum cleaner best hoover for carpets, but it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensor technology that can avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time and provide more efficient cleaning. The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It has a battery lifespan that is comparable to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to pull back and extend its mop. This can help avoid cross-contamination. Its flex arm is great for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop that could complete an entire house, finishing with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a great cleaning job on various flooring and rooms with different flooring types including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb and it was able to avoid fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums, a feature that we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With an elegant, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxy units, this mop and robot vacuum is among the most appealing looking in our reviews. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It features advanced features like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has 100% in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has an easy mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, although it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and more attractive. If you're willing with a little more noise and some additional cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot cleaner robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of a combination of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium competitors. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.

Its vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also comes with an option called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house depending on how dirty those areas tend to be.

For bigger homes it's worth looking for models with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a particular area of your house using the app or voice controls. A stairway mode is beneficial if you have lot furniture. Also a recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum continue where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than the price suggests. It does a stellar job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using one pad and a rotating motion that is more efficient than most mop cleaners for robots that we've tested. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or create a spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for greater efficiency. The app also grants access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It is equipped with a powerful 8000 Pascal suction as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It does a good job vacuuming, but is more prone to be caught by low thresholds and is noisier than the other top robot vacuums we've examined. It also has a less intuitive app and a small base station that can't be used as a bin for emptying.
