It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that appears like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel which other robots couldn't do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as smart as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic vacuum cleaner on sale cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. This type of robot cleaning machine typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is relatively simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do everything.
But if you want to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot there are many other options available with a wide range of eufy models priced substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price.
