World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade it could raise an item's Mark level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the fact that many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.

It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear, since PvP is limited at lower levels. The average level of the item upgrader mod can be found in the character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item can help players evaluate the potency of gear when they decide to buy or sell. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and how much damage it will be capable of causing. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done by using the item level.

On your PC, you can see the level of the item using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the full description of the item, including its value. It can also be located by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are a variety of theories on the method by which the level of an item is determined. One theory states that the level of an item upgrader kit is determined by formulas that determine how valuable an item's stats really are. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in a calculated item's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

This is not the only factor that influences the level of an item. The location of where the item was dropped may change its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.

Item Stats

The stats of an item can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.

Upgrades to an item may increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while items with rare tiers will be upgraded several times with higher prices.

Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give items extra damage or other special abilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to make them unique by naming them.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, as with other methods of rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item upgrader mod by specific stats or reroll affixes. The possible stat ranges for an item are determined by the level of the item, however all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the specified range, unless it's an exclusive item or a God roll from a raid boss.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to enhance. But, like base equipment, this would have to be carried out on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the odds of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops and the strength of the properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the early game as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level of the item and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can be improved by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to increase the value of 40 luck or to increase the luck of the item to 140.

Additionally, certain items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow, can be equipped to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available at the store, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to boost their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations on how much success rates can be increased, and the overall chance of an upgrade item failing cannot exceed 100%..

The Luck of an item may affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an overall success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases this chance by five percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
