Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be improved by upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment provides an increase in linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.

upgrade items components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can boost the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be achieved through a number of means that include using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. In addition to this, many items can be reforged, which can boost their stats even more.

Upgradable items can be found throughout the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The main way to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components, which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading and some require a certain amount of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others give general bonuses.

There are a variety of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments can be placed on any type of equipment, and offer less than upgrades for specific equipment. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools and offer a variety of benefits, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing additional crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats are after the upgrade, along with any materials or components required. If you don't possess enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components needed for a specific item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but it can be reduced using a variety of ways, such as purchasing upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.

The majority of weapons can be upgraded with a prefix, like a rune or an insignia. Some can be improved by adding an suffix. These upgrades include an adjective in the name of the item, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to communicate visual information. They animate in order to draw the attention of the viewer and spark curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language and makes them more effective in communicating an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs can also increase the retention of messages by creating a familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph increases the value of a stat by a certain amount. This is shown on the item upgrading, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the exact amount at which glyphs can improve a stat, but the maximum value by which it can increase a stat. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier as well as the quality of the item you are in awe of.

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the equipment in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a rune or glyph that hasn't yet been incorporated into your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece of equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove any glyph with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will destroy the item that it was installed in but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item with the glyph and its fragments, so this should not be considered as a loss.

When you take away an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards that are part of that glyph will disappear. You can also add the glyph to your equipment to give it an additional benefit. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and distribute it slowly instead of all at one time. This is useful for players who take many hits from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their equipment and weapons, and can be found through a variety of methods such as in mistery boxes, as rare drops from skulled creatures, or even from killing bosses. Reroll tokens give the player a new random affix, which is typically better than the original one. Reroll tokens can also be used to upgrade weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items don't appear in the menu of item upgrades, but they can be upgraded. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the item's rarity and its own level, so higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls, players can make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. Rerolls will determine the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

Rerolls are a great option to upgrade an Best item upgrader, however, players must be aware that it could reduce the total ilvl of the weapon based on the number of rerolls needed to raise it to its final ilvl. This lowering effect is most effective with Diadems and ring items that don't have competing ilvl-raising options.

Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's more fair to allow people to pay for it using money or food items that would allow them to make changes to their builds without having to spend excessive amounts of time. The developers aren't planning to introduce paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. They are planning to add a potion that will allow players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the value of upgrading a given stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which can increase the damage or healing of a stat. In addition, there is the ability to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. The upgraded item will maintain its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.

When you upgrade items, it is important to keep in mind that upgrades aren't always planned. In most cases a better roll is based on the glyphs. However there are occasions where a higher or more special roll can occur. The item upgrading type will also determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item to a special kind of item, it is likely to getting a higher level.

Upgrades can be expensive particularly if you are upgrading gear from the standard track to the legendary. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on the base iLevel as well as the number of levels to upgrade. Some upgrade tracks also require crests in order to get to the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item could attain the highest level on its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional benefit. This will result in a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect is different with each upgrade level. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased by +3.

Based on the item upgrading's base level and its upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For example the weapon that has been upgraded from a unique or rare to an extraordinary item will have a chance to be upgraded to the Enhanced Defense of the base type of item.
