Path of Exile item upgrading - click here to read,

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to improve your equipment without relying on massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear effectively.

Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the items that can make your weapons and armor more effective. You can get them from fighting off enemies, locating them in spheres of items or purchasing them from karma sellers. You can also salvage them from equipment containing the components, or by utilizing high-end salvage kits like Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed when you remove them from the item.

The main purpose of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded, however, they also serve other purposes. They can be used to boost the level or experience gained from upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can also be forged to give additional bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target, while boost upgrades increase the defense or attack capabilities of the weapon.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be updated. Alternately, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item upgrader can gain when upgraded with that component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is therefore best to upgrade using organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier of the next rank of the equipment or weapon, and then change to mechanical upgrades.

In addition to the multiplier for experience Each item upgrader mod also comes with the maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of upgrades is determined by its upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon of tier 10. However, the most popular upgrades for weapons are a tier 6 weapon and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of items that share bonuses. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once and the upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade an item or set piece, it will receive a +1 increase to its primary stat. Following upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted even further (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.

The upgrade of a weapon can increase the damage base, which can be necessary for certain builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to a higher maximum defense roll than their base. It is possible to increase value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.

If you're upgrading an item upgrade that has an added bonus, the item can be rerolled one time and the guarantee will reset to 0. The same amount of power dies are used to reroll an item as it is used to increase its level. However the new item comes with different bonuses. The NPC [ArmorBoboko Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector and can be purchased with Gold. The NPC will also offer an additional reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials as original item.

Rerolling

If the player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can play rerolling any item they've accumulated during the game. When an upgraded item gets to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for the version that is level 1 of the same item in a different set. Reroll tokens can be bought at the store for an amount of in-game currency. However, they aren't refundable. The new upgraded item will still have the extra bonuses of the first however, its stats will differ too.

In addition to rerolling items, players can also change the identity of any equipment by engaging with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from a weapon to armor or vice versa, while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who have the gear.

Players can also increase the level of an item equipped device by obtaining upgrade components and interacting with the upgrader NPC of the item. The cost will vary depending on the upgrade track, item type and number of crests. In the case of weapons, each upgrade will add an additional 5percent to the damage.

The upgrade of an item can boost its power however it can reduce its effectiveness. It is therefore important to keep both in check. Some items may not be worth upgrading and some will require to be upgraded in order to reach their potential. A player might want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to see what else it can be.

The primary reason people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to get a specific weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be time-consuming and expensive to acquire and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternative is to invest money or grind for a long time. For this reason, rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think it was meant to to give some value to rare items, but because gear in general drops fairly quickly and is only upgraded once you've reached a certain level, you'll usually replace the item before it becomes too old. It's also not worth upgrading items with gem sockets, as the power of the stone will outweigh any increment in ilvl.

You will be presented with a small box when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will show the template for the item, its Crest, as well as the cost of Valorstone to increase the level of the item. The costs will vary between weapons and armor as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and also lists its current ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and Crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item level upgrade and the upgrade templates. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade template's reduction percentage for lvl. For instance weapons with an upgrade decrease of 8% will decrease its count by 8-8%.

The item will be upgraded to other stats, like critical strike damage, PvE damages, and block, parry and dodge rating, in addition to the base level. Those increases are also based on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template, you can see the amount of damage or defense the item will be able to sustain when it is upgraded. This is shown below the cost and the upgrade percentages. All armor and weapons that are not practice equipment get these stats once they've been leveled up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can command a much higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other armor pieces, such as circlets and Tiaras.
