Robots That Vacuum And Mop: What Nobody Is Discussing
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can choose to have the robot clean up the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum with mop vacuum and mop is the most recent version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to take the robot vacuum with mop to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum removes dry mess, including pet hair and crumbs. It also has a high-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot vacuum and mop to access low-profile furniture making it an ideal option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's intelligent features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has many characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature since it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a wealth of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also offers several functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing however it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
