Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to recognize objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. Most robots could not do this. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, although not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic vacuum cleaners cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your house at the same time. These bots also come with a variety of extra features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area which many robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone but it will aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.

It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, either and doesn't come with a dock that lets you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.

However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other options on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper however it comes with more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of creating robot vacuums that strike a good robot vacuum balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted flooring, and a mopping function for a low cost. It's simple to set up, simply connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The most important feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning robots where it began.

The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30, however, is more affordable robot vacuum and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
