WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from item upgrading upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with a button, which displays an image of the item upgrading when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item upgrader mod has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a positive and a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and numerous new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less, even if they belong to another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrade (telegra.ph) level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated may require as many as 20 crests based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all slots are full of high-quality gear.
