The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It could be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces like hardwood and rug.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filter free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and -- the most important feature of all -- it has an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ can make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot via the app or via voice.
In our testing, the i7+ was more agile and faster than our top choice, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific space. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. When connected we were able to give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the ability to map that comes with more advanced models like our top selections such as the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or low furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways in that it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for a variety of reasons, since it has a better battery life, can change its suction power mode on its own and has physical boundary strips, and is operated by your phone's voice assistant. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and is more effective on low-pile and bare floors.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

However, it did not do particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than the other models we tested and could be a problem for some buyers.
